Dr Richard Barker

Dr Richard Barker commences with Peregian Family Medical Centre on 26th November 2018

Richard obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2009.  He obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016.

Richard has worked as a General Practitioner in medical practices in the north of the Sunshine Coast since 2014, most recently at Ochre Health, Noosa Junction.

Richard’s special interests include Men’s Health, Dermatology, Preventative Care and Orthopaedics

Dr. Nadia Cheema

Nadia migrated from Pakistan in 2011, and spent 2 years at Rockhampton Hospital before taking up a number of positions in hospitals and general practices on the Sunshine Coast.  She moved to Peregian Family Medical Centre in 2015.

Nadia has a background in emergency medicine & surgery outpatients’ management, together with provision of community primary health care for women.

Nadia’s special interests include paediatrics, women’s health & gynaecology, chronic disease, mental health and minor skin procedures.

Nadia is fluent in Hindi & Punjabi in addition to English.

Dr Anne Greening

Anne’s books are currently closed to new patients

Anne holds special interests in:

·         Chronic Disease Management

·         Aged Care

·         Palliative Care

·         Paediatrics/Women’s Health

·         Antenatal Care

Anne has been providing health care to the Peregian Beach community since 2001, and she has provided outstanding care to patients for in excess of 30 years. She is a Fellow of RACGP

Anne enjoys the challenges of general practice, and she enjoys the daily interactions she has with her diverse group of patients.

ANITA'S BOOKS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED TO NEW PATIENTS

Anita qualified in the United Kingdom in 1994, and has a varied work history, having obtained experience in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia.  She held a number of positions in British hospitals in the areas of paediatrics, obstetrics and integrated medicine, before moving to General Practice in England and then New Zealand.  Anita joined Peregian Family Medical Centre in 2011.

Anita’s special interests include women's health, family planning, antenatal & paediatrics.

Dr Kate Krimmer

Dr Kate Krimmer commences with Peregian Family Medical Centre on 18th December 2018

Kate obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in 2007.   She obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012.

Kate has worked as a General Practitioner in medical practices in Pomona and Cooroy since 2012, and currently holds a position as a Medical Educator Coordinator with GP Training Queensland.  She is also a preferred antenatal provider for Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Kate’s special interests include preventative health and women’s health.

Dr Claire O’Halloran

CLAIRE IS CURRENTLY TAKING EXTENDED LEAVE - NO APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE

Claire qualified with a first class honours degree from University College Cork, Ireland in 2001, before migrating to Australia in 2002.

She has previously worked in a number of positions at the Prince Charles Hospital, and Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane, including experience in the areas of paediatric oncology and emergency.  Claire worked in several general practices on the Sunshine Coast before joining Peregian Family Medical Centre in early 2016.

Claire’s special interests include antenatal care, women’s health, child health, mental health

Dr John Valdivia

John migrated to Australia from Colombia in 2003, and worked for several years at The Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane and in locum GP positions prior to moving to Peregian Family Medical Centre in 2012.

He has a varied background in General Practice and Emergency Medicine, where he has been involved in health promotion and prevention programs, emergency assessment and referral & management of acute medical cases.

John enjoys all aspects of general practice, and his special interests include minor surgical procedures, family medicine, skin checks and men’s health. 

John is fluent in Spanish in addition to English

Dr Natalie Varga

Natalie holds special interests in:

·         Skin cancer medicine

·         Adolescent Health

·         Mental Health

·         Emergency Medicine

·         Paediatrics/Women’s Health

Natalie is Queensland trained, and a Fellow of RACGP

She is passionate about preventative medicine and enjoys the variety of work in general practice.

 

Outside of medical practice, Natalie is an avid dog lover, and regularly practices mindfulness whilst exercising with her dogs at local beaches.

Mark joined PFMC in 2011 after serving in excess of 30 years with the Australian Defence Force, where he served domestically and internationally.  He has varied experience in emergency medicine and minor surgery.  He is a Fellow of RACGP
